Time-Sensitive Information about SENTRI
Issuing new SENTRI cards
January 23, 2008 Piblication date.
By Claudia Escalante A.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced it will be issuing new SENTRI cards. In order to send your new card, CBP requires a current U.S. mailing address and is asking all SENTRI cardholders to update their U.S. mailing address before January 31, 2008, in order to continue uninterrupted SENTRI service. SENTRI cardholders must confirm their mailing address even if it has not changed. You can update your information on line at the following site: https://goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov/

The SENTRI (Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection) program, launched by US Customs and Border Protection, has dedicated commuter lanes where prescreened applicants and vehicles are allowed to cross the border Northbound into the US usually more quickly and efficiently. The enrollees have been rigorously background checked and have been determined to be a low risk to the security of the US border.

You can find out more information about the SENTRI program at the official government site http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/trusted_traveler/sentri/ or on this more user-friendly site http://www.bajabound.com/before/permits/sentri.asp (Please note that we are not endorsing the insurance provided by this site; we are only trying to provide useful information about SENTRI.)
