RIVIERA DEL PACIFICO on Costero’s Boulevard, is a plush gambling casino from the 30’s, which is now a center of social and cultural events as well as a history museum. Walk though the surrounding gardens or relax and enjoy a moment on the lovely “Patio Bugambilia”.

MISION SAN MIGUEL / ARCANGEL DE LAS FRONTERAS is next to La Mision primary school, at Km 65.5 on the Tijuana-Ensenada free road. The preserved ruins of the Dominican mission established by Friar Luis Sales in 1787 can be viewed here.

MISION DE SANTO TOMAS is 29 miles south of Ensenada on Hwy. 1. the preserved ruins of the 1791 mission was founded by the Dominicans in Santo Tomas valley.

ESTERO BEACH MUSEUM is 6 miles south of Ensenada and features an outstanding, professional display of Mexican folk art. Also has a restaurant and shopping.

ANTHROPOLOGICAL HISTORY MUSEUM is located in the oldest house in Ensenada, on Ryerson near the statue of Miguel Hidalgo.

PLAZA CIVICA is an attractively landscaped park at the corner of Boulevard Costero and Macheros with gigant golden busts of Mexican Heroes, Benito Juarez, Miguel Hidalgo and Venustiano Carranza. It is know as the “Three Heads Park”.

FLEA MARKETS, at Los Globos, Ensenada’s largest outdoor swapmeet on Calle 9, three blocks east of Reforma.

LA BUFADORA is one of the only three natural sea blowholes in the world and is located 20 minutes south of Ensenada. Go and see this natural phenomena (safely behind railing) and then visit the many shops that line the street up to the blowhole.

HUSSONGS CANTINA is centrally located and is a local spot for residents in Ensenada. Ou can enjoy mariahis or artists drawing patrons while enjoying a huge array of tequilas or other Mexican libations. If you are looking for ancing and music, just across the street is Papas & Beer.

PAPAS & BEER. This world famous bar located in some cities Mexico has a location in Ensenada as well as one in Rosarito. Have fun with your friends or meet new ones while moving to the beat of the music.

WINERIES. Baja California has many wonderful wineries throughout the region and many offer wine tastings. One of the most famous is Bodegas de Santo Tomas. Other wineries in the area include Bodegas San Antonio, Cavas Valmar, Chateau Camou, Casa Pedro Domeq, L.A. Cetto, Mogor-Badan, Monte Xanic, and the new Vinisterra.

DIRECTIONS From Baja Mar:
Enter onto the toll road heading north. Look or the signs for Puerto Nuevo. Take the Puerto Nuevo exit and head north on the free road to Popotla and FOX Studios Baja.

If you miss Puerto Nuevo’s exit and find yourself at the second (Rosarito) tollbooth, cross through and follow the signs int Rosarito. Make U Turn and head back south on the free road to Popotla and FOX Studios Baja.
